Nairobi (AFP) May 2, 2024 - Kenyan President William Ruto on Thursday named Charles Muriu Kahariri as defence chief after the death of his predecessor in a helicopter crash.
President William Ruto, the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, has promoted Lieutenant General Charles Muriu Kahariri to the rank of General and appointed him the new Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF).
