The Purple Heart medal from the US government was returned to a the niece of US Army PFC John Maruszak, May 7, 2021, in Strongsville. Purple Hearts Reunited verified the Purple Heart of PFC Maruszak and framed it in a window box and delivered it to Susan Watson of Strongsville. PFC Maruszak was listed as missing in action by the US Army during the Battle of The Bulge in Belgium in WWII in late 1944.
