The move, which came in the form of a notice dated April 30, follows a call from Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga for officials to consider introducing a system similar to those already adopted by local bodies including Yamanashi Prefecture. Yamanashi Gov. Kotaro Nagasaki had met with Suga on April 27 and explained the content of the prefecture s Yamanashi Green Zone Certification System.
