Girl Scout Builds Castle Made of Cookie Boxes!

By Kristin Feb 1, 2021 Girl Scouts are so resourceful! When Covid-19 put the brakes on in-store cookie sales, a Girl Scout in Arizona came up with a fun way to make sales! Maija Kaprosy and her dad built a castle from Girl Scout Cookie boxes! She said she drew out the design for the castle on her iPad, and her father came up with the blueprint. They built the structure out of wood, and covered that with hundreds of cookie boxes (all empty,) a process she says took 3 or 4 weekends to complete. The castle is now on display at the Shops at Norterra in North Phoenix, and will be open for business every Sunday in February. Not only can you buy your favorite cookies in the castle, you can also read about the history of the Girl Scouts which is posted all over the walls of the inside because Miaja said the castle also serves as a mini-museum! I wonder what badge she gets for this amazing project?!
