Prakash Javadekar has slammed the Maharashtra government for poor administration of Covid-19 vaccines and claimed that over 50 per cent of doses remain unused. His remark came a day after Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope demanded 2.20 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses from the Centre and requested the Centre to supply 20 lakh doses per week to the state. In a tweet, Javadekar claimed that Uddhav Thackeray-led government has used only 23 lakh vaccines out of the total 54 lakh vaccines sent to Maharashtra till March 12, 2021. He further said that 56 per cent of the vaccines remained unused in the state, adding, Shiv Sena MPs were asking the Centre for more vaccines while the state has only utilised 44 per cent of what has already been delivered. ....
