Manipur: 10-day Sangai Festival 2022 begins

Our Correspondent Moirang Khunou, Nov. 21 (EMN): Union DoNER (Development of North Eastern Region) Minister G Kishan Reddy formally opened the much-awaited Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 here at the well decorated Sangai Ethnic Park near Keibul Lamjao, the only floating park in world in Manipur’s Bishnupur district. Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Maharaj Leishemba Sanajaoba, ministers, MLAs, top officials of the state and central government were present during the colourful opening of the 10-day annual tourism promotion festival at the Sangai Ethnic Park – the main venue of the Festival located about 55 km south of Imphal. This time, the Manipur Sangai Festival 2022 is being organised at 14 venues across the state including venues at Mao, Makhel-northernmost part and Behiang, Churachandpur-the southernmost part of the state. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas observed in Manipur

Our Correspondent Imphal, Oct. 31(EMN): The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was observed at 1st Bn Manipur Rifles parade ground in Imphal with Chief Minister N Biren Singh as chief guest on Monday. Council of ministers, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Maharaj Leishemba Sanajaoba,MLAs, chairman of boards and corporations, chief secretary, deputy general of police, civil and police officers were present during the observation. Addressing the gathering, Biren Singh said Manipur is moving forward  towards development including improvement in connectivity with other states, and further appealed to the public to join hands and work together for further development of the state. Manipur govt. wants to develop Behiang as international business hub — Biren Singh

Our CorrespondentImphal, Oct. 15 (EMN): Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said the government wants to develop Behiang as an international business hub like Moreh town as there are various developmental plans for the area. Behiang is a border village in Manipur’s Churachandpur district which borders Myanmar.
