A donation of 25,000 million (Rs 2,500 crore) has been collected for Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya, as per banks receipts till March 4 in crows funding drive, Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has informed. Speaking on the matter, Champat Rai, General Secretary, Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said, Door-to-door collection has stopped. People can donate online on the Trust s website. The fundraising campaign for Ram Janmbhoomi Temple in Ayodhya concluded on Saturday after 45 days and Rs 21,000 crore were collected through it, the Trust associated with the drive said.
The crowdfunding campaign was launched on January 15, and about Rs 1,100 crore was estimated to be collected for the construction of the Ram temple. However, the drive received Rs 1,000 crore more than the estimated amount.
Prior to the crowdfunding campaign launch on January 15, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had projected an estimate of Rs 1,100 crore for the Ram temple complex construction, but it has received Rs 1,000 crore more than what was projected.
