The five-time MP’s entry into the contest as an Independent has upset the RJD’s calculations to win the seat for the first time, end JD(U)’s winning run
Patna, Apr 20 (PTI) Asserting that the Mahagathbandhan will win all the four Lok Sabha seats in Bihar that went to polls in the first phase on Friday, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav mocked the BJP, saying the saffron party's 400-plus movie turned out to be a flop on the first day of voting.
Former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, now contesting as an Independent from Bihar s Purnea seat, reaffirms his loyalty to the Congress despite the party s seat-sharing arrangement with the RJD denying him the ticket. Yadav, who considers himself a Congress soldier, blames RJD s Lalu Prasad for the discord. He remains committed to his constituency, prioritizing job creation and agricultural reforms. Purnea will witness a three-way battle between Yadav, JD(U) MP Santosh Kumar Kushwaha, and RJD s Bima Bharti in the upcoming polls.
