Youth kills step-siblings and stepmother in Sylhet

A youth hacked his stepmother and two step-siblings to death in Sylhet s Sadar upazila early today.
The deceased were identified as Tahsin (7), Maha Begum (9), and their mother Rubiya Begum (30).
The incident took place around 12:00am in Mirer Moholla area, reports our local correspondent quoting police.
Abad Hossain (22) attacked the trio with sharp weapons when his father Abdal Hossain (42) was away, said Syed Anisur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Shahporan Police Station.
Rubiya and Maha died on the spot while the youngest victim passed away after being taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, the police official said quoting hospital sources. ....
