KCA receives Field of Dreams funding from Jays Care Foundation - KenoraOnline: Kenora, Ontario's latest news, sports, weather, community events.

The Kenora Chiefs Advisory is one of 14 organizations across the country to receive funding for a new baseball diamond from the Jays Care Foundation.
The charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays, will make infrastructure investments of over $1 million in 2021 to benefit Canadian children and youth through its Field of Dreams program.
“We are pleased to announce the funding that has been approved through Field of Dreams, and we are getting a ball field!”, said KCA Board President Chief Lorraine Cobiness.
“It goes beyond just playing ball, it allows our children, our youth and our elders to come together and play. It allows our kids to connect with each other and provide supports, the things it has allowed our kids to experience besides just playing ball but the ability to go out and connect with kids across the country is truly amazing, Cobiness adds.  ....

N.B. COVID-19 roundup: 24 new cases, outbreaks at 2 more long-term care homes
There are 24 new cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick, outbreaks at two more long-term care facilities and 836 people in isolation across the province, either because they have respiratory disease or may have been exposed to a positive case, the chief medical officer of health announced Thursday.
