Comelec 7 Director Lionel Marco Castillano said they are waiting for the Comelec en banc to issue a decision on the proclamation of three candidates in Cebu who won in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) held on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023.
The Comelec en banc has found concrete basis to proceed with the suspension of Gian Vincent Sinda, Maguikay Barangay Captain Eduardo Gumera, and Valladolid Barangay Captain Anthony John Apura. These candidates are facing various disqualification cases and may not be proclaimed even if they win.
