Founder of Jabez House Shamelle Rice, popular gospel singer Sister Margarita Marshall, charity worker Sharon Bellamy-Thompson and founder of the Foundation for Better Learning (FFBL) Esther Mullin are the recipients of this year’s Vocational Service Awards from the Rotary Club of Barbados West.

Stephen Marshall, the son of well-known gospel artiste Sister Magrita Marshall, fell to his death yesterday while picking coconuts. Around 10:05 a.m. police received a report that Marshall, 54, of Quakers Road, Belmont Road, St Michael, fell when the trunk of the tree he was picking coconuts from in Walkes Spring, St Thomas, broke.
