A developing story this morning in detroit where . Another Police Officer has been shot in the line of duty. The officer is now in the hospital. And a person of interest is in custody. It happened Near Wayne State University around 7 30 last night. Detectives say unversity was investigating reports of car burglaries. And was about to talk to someone on a bike. When the man shot him in the head. The officer was discovered by . Another officer who arrived later. Detroit police then tracked down a person of interest. A few hours later at last check, the officer is in critical condition. After having successful surgery. And another officer has been shot and . Killed. And it was right here in florida. It happened to a k9 officer in Volusia County last night. The dog, named forrest, was shot while chasing a wanted fugitive. He later died from his injuries in the hospital.
