The gates weren t set to open until 7 a.m. and the distribution was set to start at 9 a.m. One woman, who also happens to be the first in line, said she s been there since 2:20 a.m. The woman asked to be kept anonymous, but she did tell ABC13 that she s there because she has four kids, a mother and a brother to feed. Since the winter storm last week, she said she s lost a lot but she s thankful for her neighbors. ....

Jan. 20-30: Salsa night, crawfish boil among upcoming events in northwest Houston By Brandon Moeller, Correspondent Bowling tournament raises money for ACS The Relay for Life of Cy-Fair presents its 12th annual bowling tournament at the Tomball Bowl from 3 to 5 p.m. on Jan. 20 or Jan. 27. The entry fee is $35 for individuals or $175 for teams. Due to COVID-19, the organization is splitting the tournament into two dates with a reduced capacity of 16 teams per day. The cost includes shoe rental, two games of bowling, and two drink tickets. The event benefits the American Cancer Society. Tomball Bowl is located at 14435 FM 2920 in Tomball.
