Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that on May 10, 2021 Dep. D.R. Caskaddon of the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Garner Bagnal Blvd. after observing the vehicle fail to stop at a stop light. Dep. Caskaddon spoke to the driver, Jacobie Obrian Cauthen, 31, of Statesville, and asked Cauthen to walk back to the patrol car while to check his vehicle information. During the initial investigation, Cauthen was found to have a bag of marijuana in his pants pocket. A search of the vehicle was then conducted whic ....
