Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Eastern Visayas Regional Director Lord Byron Torrecarion said on Thursday the shelters will be turned over to recipients on July 15. Temporary shelters are being constructed within the two-hectare property in Maganhan village. The Department of Public Works and Highways recently completed the site development. Army engineers are being assisted by personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Army, and the Philippine National Police. The MGB found the susceptibility of these communities after a thorough assessment of these areas in response to reports from residents of visible tension cracks. MGB Eastern Visayas Regional Director Carlos Tayag said these sites are in the villages of Mailhi, Kantagnos, Bunga, Maypatag, Makinhas, Cagumay, Mag-aso, and Kan-ipa.
