After 43 years serving Hamilton County and the surrounding area, Dr. Kadhiresan Murugappan has announced his retirement on April 27, 2023. After receiving his medical degree from the Madurai Medical College in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, Dr. Murugappan then completed his residency at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and Medical Centre in New York City, New York. In 1980, Dr. Murugappan and his family were welcomed to McLeansboro and he began his service as an internal medicine physician. Dr. Murugappan went on to join Hamilton Memorial Hospital District in 2015 serving as a trusted physician within the Hamilton Memorial Family Clinic.
