While a soloist sings Afro-punk, Dorothy Carter will let the notes inspire her as she brushes strokes of paint directly onto her modelâs skin and body suit. And the model will paint what sheâs feeling from Carterâs brushstrokes, dabbing colors onto a canvas. âItâs like art therapy,â Carter says about the performance art sheâll bring to the new fest on Friday.
