Chloe Andrus was crowned the 42nd Miss Pine River with a court consisting of Tiara Crannell as First Princess and Miss Congeniality and Mara Adams selected as Second Princess.
In a tearful display, Rausie Cummings, who died Sept. 10, 2020, in an automobile collision was named honorary princess for the year. I feel very surprised and grateful for my whole group for Miss Pine River. I m grateful and I m thankful that everybody came today. Chloe Andrus.
Andrus gave a brief but grateful statement at the end of the event.

Traditionally, the Echo Journal doesn’t pick a top story of the year, but rather publishes a list of highlights from each month.
However, it’s next to impossible not to say that the COVID-19 pandemic and its many effects on all of our lives was the top story of 2020 - and not just locally, but across the world.
