Afghan evacuees in Albania have opened an exhibition on their impressions on the tiny Western Balkan country. The exhibit, titled “Albania from my Eyes,” opened Monday at the Tirana Art Gallery with photos from 20 Afghans who came to Albania last fall. Some 70 employees of the American Councils for International Education and their families had come in October while others backed by soccer body FIFA came a month later. All find themselves now housed at Albanian tourist resorts along the Adriatic Sea. Madina Talash, 20, a medical student, says the exhibition showed the “beauty of a country.” Some 2,400 Afghans were evacuated to Albania after the Taliban came to power in August. ....
