Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel has submitted a proposed $1.1 billion 2024 budget to the county Board of Commissioners that includes 18 news positions, far fewer than last year, and maintains a healthy surplus in the general fund.
The $8-million structure, located on the banks of the Clinton River waterfront along North Gratiot Avenue near Crocker Boulevard, is slated to open next month.
