Harvey Daniel departed this life on Monday, Feb. 22, while under the home healthcare of her beloved son and daughter in love, Lorenzo and Eleanor Daniel of Dallas, TX. Lois Daniel had been a resident of Avera for over 85 years. Lois Daniel was born on Nov. 29, 1929, in the village of Matthews. She was the first child born to the late William Harvey and Auldy Patterson Harvey. Lois grew up and worked on the Harvey Family Farm with her siblings and other family members. She was quite intentional about her quest for education and had to catch a train in Avera to attend High School in Wrens. At the age of 16, she matriculated at the Savannah State College in Savannah. ....
