Gaibandha and Sundargaganj municipality polls ends peacefully 478 GAIBANDHA, JAN 16, 2021 (BSS) – The Second round polls of Gaibandha and Sundargaganj Municipalities of the district today ended peacefully amidst much enthusiasm. The voting started at 8 am and ended at 4 pm without any intermission . Counting of voters started shortly after the voting ended in the municipalities. The government declared a public holiday in the municipalities on the Election Day to help the voters cast their votes. Election office sources said the number of voters is 51,387 in Gaibandha Municipality and 14,071 in Sundarganj Municipality of the district. The turn out of the voters in the election was satisfactory as over 50 percent voters cast their votes in 48 voting centers, Election Commission (EC) officials said. ....
