A fire-ravaged hotel that blighted Weston for more than a decade is set to be demolished and replaced with 40 flats.
The 56-bed Lynton House Hotel has stood dormant since a blaze in 2008 – and was hit by subsequent fires in 2015 and 2018 – despite multiple attempts to redevelop the site.
The business occupied three former Victorian villas and under plans from Acorn Developments the frontage of number 10 Madeira Road will be rebuilt to match its semi-detached neighbour.
Numbers six and eight will be rebuilt because the destruction dealt by fire, rainwater and vandalism mean it is not possible to refurbish.
