LYNN HAVEN Lynn Haven voters have spoken. After all three races went to a runoff, voters took to the polls Tuesday to choose their new mayor and two commissioners.
Receiving 1,481 votes (50.46%), Jesse Nelson was elected Lynn Haven’s mayor, defeating Ellyne Fields by 27 votes. Jamie Warrick was elected to Seat 3 with 1,943 votes (66.61%) and incumbent Judy Tinder will retain her Seat 4 after garnering 1,730 votes (59.43%).
“I’m honored and humbled by the fact that the citizens of Lynn Haven elected me as the next mayor of this great city. I’m thankful for the grace of God’s grace. Also, for the opportunities that are coming our way,” Nelson said. He listed his wife and children, family and friends, volunteers, campaign team and voters.
