a look at these pictures coming in to cnn. helicopter has crashed into new york s east river and a dramatic rescue operation is now underway. we re told by the fire department of new york, a spokesman saying that at least two people were seriously injured in the crash. the chief coast guard petty officer eric swansen tells cnn there were at least three people on board when that helicopter crashed into the east river in new york. in an interview with a local affiliate, a former fdny commissioner says the water temperature right now is approximately 68 degrees. we re told it happened maybe 35 minutes ago in the east river at 34th street and 1st avenue on the east side of manhattan. chad myers is watching this unfold with us. what else are you pick iing up we seize these live images coming in. wolf, literally, we are listening to scanner traffic all the way back to how we used to do it in local tv. scanner traffic from fdny saying there were five, five on board. four are ....
