“I wanted to (experiment) with something more high end and high quality, so I think it was more like a gift,” said Mintenko, owner and founder of Luxe Artisan Chocolates and Dandy’s Artisan Ice Cream.
Luxe chocolates are swirled gold on dark grey, or a turquoise stripe across dark blue, or pink and red spots on pale pink, or shimmering silver, or black specks on mint green. Each of the 18 first flavours has a unique design.
“We wanted to treat it like it’s a piece of art,” said Mintenko. “Some are a plain colour, but some we really paint individually and it takes a lot of time to do, but I think it tells how much we are focused on making such high-end product.
