Kicking off on Wednesday, June 23, the Freedom Park Summer Concert Series will feature biweekly in-person concerts through Aug. 28.
“After 2020’s completely virtual season, we couldn’t be more excited to be live and back on the park stage this year,” said Cathy Gatta, the president of the Freedom Park Foundation.
To bring back in-person shows, organizers will rearrange seating, sectioning off pods of about 10 feet each, so that attendees can socially distance themselves from other groups.
At this point, New York State allows up to 500 attendees at outdoor concerts without the venues having to check for vaccination or COVID-19 testing, said Gatta. “We are hoping the restrictions keep loosening as we go through the summer, but at this point, we’ll take what we can get.” ....

Curt Ramm Announces New Album 'Rogue Island'

Curt Ramm is excited to announce his newest album,
Rogue Island, due out this July on Rocktorium Records. Born in the throes of 2020’s COVID-19 shutdowns, the new album is a beacon of positivity and uplifting vibes. This instrumental soundscape is set to be the perfect Summer soundtrack, and will be available everywhere you stream music on July 2nd.

Curt Ramm is one of the preeminent horn players in rock and roll. As well as being an in-demand studio session player, Curt’s playing has kept him very busy over the years with electrifying live performances throughout the US, Europe and Japan. Maggazino Italian Art Launches Cold Spring Soundtrack | ongoing
Last fall, Cold Spring contemporary art museum Maggazino Italian Art, artist Marinella Senatore, and composer Emiliano Branda put out the call to the public to submit short sound recordings to be woven together for Cold Spring Soundtrack, an audio art project. After two months, over 130 contributions from individuals across the world had been collected from people of all ages, backgrounds, and musical disciplines. The completed work is set to premiere on December 21 on Maggazino’s website. ....
