The grants were awarded to groups or individuals who help create welcoming, diverse events to enhance the City of York, the non-profit group said on Tuesday.
“I am very excited for the sounds of the Box Lunch Revue to once again fill the air of York City,” Mayor Michael Helfrich said. “I am really looking forward to the return of York’s traditional arts event and market, YorkFest, an event I haven’t missed for 20 years.”
Parliament will be offering a variety of events throughout the year, including King Street Jam (York’s largest one day music festival), Light Up York and the New Year’s Eve white rose drop.
The group is partnering with Creative York, which is hosting the YorkFest adult juried and youth art exhibitions. For information about submitting artwork, visit www.creativeyork.org.
