Just when that big corner turn to the pandemic home stretch looked in sight, we have Wednesday’s sudden traffic jam.
The Middlesex-London Health Unit reported a whopping 140 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, a smidge less than double Tuesday’s 71. The local record for daily cases, reached earlier in the third wave, was 187. No victory parade yet.

The only silver lining is that the combo of the provincial shutdown and stay-at-home order has curbed the dramatic increase of cases we saw a couple of weeks ago.
