10 de junio de 2021, 15:9Caracas, Jun 10 (Prensa Latina) Vice-president of the Commission for Dialogue, Peace and Reconciliation of the National Assembly, Luis Eduardo Martinez, on Thursday ratified that the electoral path and dialogue are a guarantee of peace for Venezuela.
The deputy told Venezolana de Television that the political stability of the nation is based on the electoral vote and condemned the call for abstention by the extreme right wing, which, he said, goes against the country s democratic culture.
Martinez said he has always proclaimed the need to participate and elect and that they cannot give up an inherent element in democracy and in any country in the world, which is the vote. He added that abstention is bad for everyone because the fundamental instrument of influence is to vote. ....

CARACAS, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) Venezuela s National Assembly voted to form a Special Commission for Dialogue, Peace and National Reconciliation, during its first ordinary session on Thursday since the newly-elected lawmakers were sworn in on Jan. 5.
It has to be a commission that quickly, peremptorily, begins to offer proposals to be consulted with the people of Venezuela on the fundamental issues that are the priority today, said Jorge Rodriguez, president of the assembly.
The commission will initially be made up of legislators, but later be opened to public participation. It will be led by Rodriguez, while opposition party deputy Luis Eduardo Martinez and ruling coalition deputy Francisco Torrealba will be the organization s vice presidents. ....
