Lufthansa Cargo begins renewal of airfreight centre in Frankfurt

Lufthansa Cargo is expected to further develop and renew its logistics centre at its hub in Frankfurt after receiving approval from its supervisory board.
Modernisation of the Lufthansa Cargo Centre began earlier this month and is set to be completed in 2028.
The firm’s freight facility at Frankfurt Airport is its most important site in Germany and handles around 80% of its global cargo volume.

Peter Garber, CEO of the cargo airline, said: “With this renewal of our logistics centre, we are investing in our airfreight base in Frankfurt and thus creating the structural requirements for even faster and more efficient airfreight. In doing so, we are also making the jobs of our employees at our most important logistics location in Germany safe for the future.” ....
