Ethereal abstraction, subtle nuances of colour and fresh perspectives will be on display at Gormleys, Dublin, this month, as a group exhibition of four of Ireland’s most exciting abstract female artists goes on view. Jane Rainey, Lola Donoghue, Megan Burns and Beatriz Elorza have been drawn together by their interest in non-representational art and a preference for working in oils, and this showcase is as much a celebration of the genre as it is an opportunity to discover a new generation of female painters. ‘Abstraction’ runs from April 6-23, with free entry. gormleys.ie
