mayor, sudeep khan, he s posted a new tweet that says emergency services are on-the-scene, investigating a major incident at finsbury park and follow pech trow police for details. have you seen any accounts on the ground that suggests more than a van was used in this incident? well, some local british media had been reporting there might have been a stabbing. but, again, this is not confirmed information. i have not heard that from eyewitnesses. but there s also a misinformation going around at this stage. there are people who arrived at the scene after this attack took place obviously shaken by it. this is the place where they live. obviously they happen answers. they want to understand what took place. but nothing concrete yet. they are going to make some investigations take place, try to get some concrete information
what we ve seen on the ground, the message that the police are sending to the greater community of all the citizens of london is that this attack is important and we think it s important to investigate it and we re putting a lot of police there. look at all those officers protecting that scene. any one who is injured or killed there is an important person to the police. that s a big message to send to the community. there s not one officer standing there. they didn t run away and leave it persons in the muslim community poernz in that community are not as important as someone who might have been killed on the london bridge. it s the complete opposite view we have which is very good pocimy view. a strong rce. this is an important event. whatever the motive we ll do the best we can, the best anybody can to have a complete investigation. naveed made great points on the jihadist aspect and of course he mentioned the nationalist aspect but just to flush that out,
police mosque. the mood is calm but a lot of people understandably upset. i spoke to one eyewitness who was there on the scene just moments after this attack being a vehicle that mowed over a group of pedestrians. this eyewitness said he saw four, maybe five injured people on the ground mooch we know police were on-the-scene but we can probably safely assume that those injured individuals are n in. and the eyewitness also described who he described a man tackled to the ground and arrest bide police. and it was kraubted by the police statement that was issued earlier that said one individual was arrested. we don t know the number of casualties officially from the authorities. again, this kwlins that i spoke
mosque, an area in north london where there s been reports of a van driving into people, several injuries and casualties according to authorities. although they re not describing motive and reason. and jim, i will read to you another statement we do have from a spokesman in london. quote, officers were on-the-scene from a number of services. there a number of casualties being worked at the scene, there has been one person arrested. there have been some accounts online depicting the person, although we are not able to confirm those yet. but that s the little we know operationally, jim. right, ari. that s all solid information. there s a lot of information on the web. when you get involved in these things, you know, know what s accurate. even when you re the commander on the ground, you ve got to sort that out, what facts are
concrete. one man is apprehended, that s the fact. was he alone in the vehicle? were there others in the vehicle? if it s a van, it could hold multiple people like thelanden bridge attack. the other side is we look at the photographs in the international press, some that were shone here on nbc, and we try to discern something like that from the early hours. and the way they re holding the seen so hard, they could have fatalities or more. they re holding that seen awful hard, so it may be they have to do a homicide investigation. and it does look like there could be just from the photographs, some people, bodies are covered up. so not sure. police haven t said that, but they re holding that scene quite a long time. and usually if in homicide, scenes are held a lot longer. i would just tell you that from
