A member of the Student Nonviolent Committee met Dr Martin Luther King Jr when he was very young he called him the boy from troy thats where he was born in alabama and that name never really left him but i think although honestly he will be deeply missed it both the u. S. Congress and of course by those that knew him i think his legacy is the important thing is he literally spilt blood for the cause of the Civil Rights Era. Antiracism protests in the u. S. Tonight we are joined by cassie chambers whose honored her child hood in appalachia and the strong women who raised her preacher went on to earn a degree from harvard law and has worked extensively with Domestic Violence survivors in kentucky. So what i want to do tonight is talk about why i wrote this book and what inspired me to write it and a little bit of an overview of how the book came to be and into the world. So anything thats on your mind this is a discussion and a dialogue i look forward so the first part of want to read so in kentucky that is one of the poorest counties in all of america the appellation a small county one of the highest poverty ....
