Celebrate the Chinese New Year With Nashvilleâs Sister Cities The virtual feast includes pickup at Lucky Bamboo Tweet Share You may be vaguely aware that Nashville has several âSister Citiesâ â locales that have established a special relationship between citizens and governments. We actually have nine sister cities: Belfast, Ireland; Caen, France (not to be confused with Cannes); Edmonton, Canada; Kamakura, Japan; Magdeburg, Germany; Mendoza, Argentina; Tamworth, Australia; and two cities in China, Taiyuan and Chengdu. That last city, Chengdu, is actually our newest partner and is the ceremonial co-host of an upcoming event sponsored by the official Sister Cities organization â a virtual banquet on Thursday, Feb. 25, to celebrate the Chinese New Year. This is the Year of the Ox, and it just has to be better than 2020, which was a really ratty year. ....
