The Lower Merion Township police officer who used his Taser on an unarmed Black woman last week has been placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of a department investigation. The department released body-worn camera footage of the incident on Tuesday. Earlier videos taken by witnesses prompted community outrage after video surfaced of the tense encounter in a Wawa parking lot.
LOWER MERION Rose Glen Road in Gladwyne is a picturesque winding road running about a mile between Youngsford and Mill Creek roads.
The road has a forested view with a handful of beautiful homes and the only driveway leading into Rolling Hill Park.
But township officials say there is a hidden danger on the road, and they want to address it.

That danger is that it is unsafe for pedestrians. Still, nearby residents say itâs been used for walking and biking for a long time. That pedestrian use has only increased over the past year as government-ordered pandemic lockdowns have taken hold.
