Food truck rally planned Saturday in Lower Burrell
Lower Burrell Volunteer Fire Company No. 3, 3255 Leechburg Road, will host a Food Truck Rally from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the firehall.
Cash and credit and debit cards will be accepted. Outdoor covered seating and free parking will be available. Twenty percent of proceeds will be donated to the fire company.

After failed attempts to secure grant money, Lower Burrell Volunteer Fire Company No. 3 secured $108,000 from a state insurance fund to pay for firefighters’ special breathing equipment.
The fire company recently received 18 self-contained breathing apparatus as well as portable air supplies. Firefighters wear the breathing equipment when entering building fires and other
dangerous conditions.

It’s food trucks galore with Lower Burrell Volunteer Fire Company
No. 3 scheduling three themed roundups with up to 16 food trucks and craft beer.
The events are set for May 1, July 24 and Oct. 9.
Although the pandemic caused Lower Burrell No. 3 and Kinloch (fire company No. 1), to cancel their joint carnival last year, No. 3 made their fundraising goal within two hours of last year’s first and only food truck event.
