discharges. and also, the the fact that, you know, so many of the crew members were asked to drive more than 50 miles each way a day to go to a set when they were already spending 14 hours a day on set. i m wondering the the prop master you talked to who as you said is a veteran had he worked on lower-budget films before? i m wondering if his surprise was in general, you know, general surprise that would be for anybody who hadn t worked on a low-budget film and expected to sort of cut corners and, i assume, in some ways with a low budget. versus, he had worked on low-budget films before but this one seemed different? um, he has been working on low-budget films. he had just finished a streaming production on the east coast before this opportunity came up. i think one of the things that we ve seen sort of a trendline that s come out of this reporting is that, you know,
false or should have known were false, and those were reflected, also, in days earlier in the memos that he was writing to the vice president of the united states trying to get him, basically, to have a bloodless coup in this country. grant woods was the father of five kids. our thoughts are with the woods family, at this time with their sudden and terrible loss. grant was only 67 years old. thanks so much for join us. around anderson starts now. good evening, the set of the movie rust is dark tonight in more ways than one. in a letter we learned about late today, the production team said it would shut down indefinitely at the new mexico location where alec baldwin fatally shot the film s director of photography, and wounded its director. cnn has new reporting tonight on the assistant director who handed baldwin the fateful gun and just before air time, the los angeles times moved a new item on a veteran hollywood prop master who was offered a job on a film but passed.
the prop gun to alec baldwin. the assistant director supposedly didn t know any live rounds were in that gun. they had been prepped by an armor. who is legally liable here? lots of questions, don. first of all, my just heart goes out to this young woman, her family, her son, her husband. can t imagine a tragedy like this. the reality is no one should die on a movie set. no one should have a live a gun with live ammunition and pointing it at someone unless there is some intention to harm that person. and we know alec baldwin had no intention to harm this young woman. but somebody made a mistake and somebody has to be held accountable for the assistant director to hand the gun to alec baldwin with live ammunition and to say he didn t know. well, it raises all kinds of questions about supervision and gun-handling procedures on the set. and some of the information that s coming out looks horrible. information that the whole process was rushed. that this was a low-budget film.

Black Hills Film Festival offers virtual viewing for 12th annual event
The Black Hills Film Festival features films shot in South Dakota and other locations from filmmakers around the world. Audiences can watch documentary and feature films of all lengths and types - films they would not typically see in theatre multiplexes.

There will be two ticket options for viewing: an all access pass to watch all 57 independent films, or individual pass ranging from short programs, documentaries, animation, South Dakota-made, and Native American films.
There are also free online seminars sessions and discussions, like ‘How to Make a Low-Budget Film.’
