2020 & 2021 Alumni Hall of Fame Panhandle State Communications on 05/03/2021 The Panhandle State Association of Alumni and Friends is proud to announce the 2021 Alumni Hall of Fame Induction. This year will be a double induction of the 2020 and 2021 Hall of Fame honorees. The honorees will be recognized on May 22nd on campus for all to join. Judge Ronald Kincannon and Dr. Douglas Steele will be inducted as the 2020 honorees as their ceremony was postponed last year. The 2021 inductees will be David Petty and Louis Sims. Judge Ronald Kincannon graduated from Panhandle State in 1970, receiving a degree in Psychology with a minor in Math and Military Science. He had a decorated career in the U.S. Army. Kincannon went on to practice law, and in time was elected to serve as a judge in Cimarron County. He served for 24 years before retiring to spend time with his family. Louis Sims Louis Sims is a Hobart, Oklahoma native with a life full of success in several different industries. He attended Panhandle State on an athletic scholarship and graduated with a degree in Business in 1956. After graduating from Panhandle State, Sims was enlisted for three years in Army Intelligence, which started a decorated career of service. Louis finished with the Army and became a Special Agent for the U.S. Secret Service. He served and protected 6 U.S. Presidents starting with John Fitzgerald Kennedy and finished under Ronald Reagan. He retired from the Secret Service, continuing into a career in the oil industry with Pennzoil. He eventually earned his second retirement as Vice President of Pennzoil. Louis wasn’t quite ready to leave the workforce after the second retirement and became a Vice President for Career Enserch Exploration in the energy industry. ....
