Dispatchers received a frantic 911 call who told them her daughter was trying to kill herself with a knife around 11 30 this morning. Police say when the officer got here he was confronted by a hysterical woman with a knife. The woman followed him, ignoring orders to drop the knife. That is when the officers shot her. When i was standing down there, i saw her laying on the ground. You could see the blood on her shirt. We talked to neighbors who say the woman has a history of depression. It happened shortly after 4 this afternoon at the cvs at the corner of washington and central streets in stoughton. A man in a car outside, telling our partners at the brockton enterprise, thats when he spotted 3 men get out of a car and go into the store. Moments later he heard gun shots. Conscious and everything. Anchor his injuries apparently not life threatening. He was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan hospital. At the cvs she has spoken to her fellow employees on the phone all of them ok. Nobody else hurt. Robbery apparently not a motive.
