LUB considers agreement with solar energy supplier

Loudon Utilities Board discussed Dec. 14 the possibility of bringing solar energy to the community. Joe Tierney, with Sunrise Energy Ventures LLC, presented the board a proposal for a purchase agreement of solar power. Tennessee Valley Authority earlier this year started the flexibility program, which would allow LUB to enter third-party agreements for up to 5% of the load, Tierney said.
