Suisun council supports list of street repair projects
The council voted 5-0 on a resolution adopting a list of projects for fiscal year 2021-2022.
The item was on the consent calendar but pulled for public comments and questions prior to the vote.
The total funding of $516,400 includes $10,300 from the city’s Gas Tax Fund and $506,100 is from the city’s RMRA-Senate Bill 1 Road Maintenance Rehabilitation Fund.
Councilman Mike Hudson wanted to know how much was being invested in roads this year. The answer was a little more than $1 million.
Mayor Pro Tem Wanda Williams suggested when the work is completed, the city advertise it on social media.

Caltrans awards nearly $5M for Solano safety projects
FAIRFIELD Solano County and six of its cities have been awarded close to $5 million in federal Highway Safety Improvement Program funds, the state Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
The project funds are part of $227 million awarded March 25 “to fund safety projects designed to reduce traffic deaths and serious injuries on city and county roads,” Caltrans said in a statement.
