Nagaland: 4th Late Bishop Abraham Memorial Volleyball Tournament from Oct. 2

Dimapur, Sep. 24 (EMN): The 4th Edition of Late Bishop Abraham Memorial Volleyball Tournament will kick off at St. Paul’s Parish Wokha from October 2 to the 5th. The tournament is being organised by the Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement on the theme ‘One in Faith and Action’. The tournament is held after every three years in remembrance of Late Bishop Abraham Alangimattathil, who was the first Bishop of Kohima Diocese. Deputy Chief Minister and leader of the BJP Legislature Party, Y Patton will attend the opening ceremony as special guest while Transport Commissioner and Advisor, Catholic Association of Nagaland,  Elias T Lotha will be the special guest at the closing ceremony. Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima Diocese will celebrate the Holy Mass on October 3. All together, 62 parish teams will be participating in the tournament, comprising 32 male teams and 30 female teams. The champion team will win INR 50000, runner-up team INR 30000, and third prize INR 10000 ....
