Members of the Rotary Club of Los Altosâ Veterans Committee funded the mural. Los Altos resident and Foothill College art instructor Jordan Fong and muralist Oscar Lopez are collaborating on an image of Los Altos community togetherness and growth from the past and present to the future. The mural is the third step taken to improve the plaza, according to chief organizer Ron Labetich. The first step was honoring veterans by changing the name of the plaza from Community Plaza to Veterans Community Plaza in 2018. Step two involved installing additional seating and shade.
