Mrs. Brown, 105, traveled from Kentucky to Motley in a covered wagon. She had 12 children, nine of whom still are living. MAY 10 20 years ago (2001) Legislation banning billboards on the Hwy 371 bypass has passed the Minn. House and been sent to Gov. Jesse Ventura. The bill, authored by Rep. Steve Wenzel, would prohibit large self-standing billboards along the bypass which runs from Barrows, across the Mississippi and around Brainerd to connect with Baxter s commercial area. ....
