Little did she know that her new home was also a corridor for koalas, she soon joined an organisation called Friends of the Koala. Lorraine became President of the organisation in 2002 for 15 years, where she tirelessly fought - and is still fighting - to save koalas from extinction on the far north coast of NSW. She has been recognised for her significant service to wildlife conservation, by being made a Member of the Order of Australia for this years Australia Day awards. ....
