F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby, first published in 1925, is a classic of American literature. It’s an evergreen story of love and jealousy, wealth and status, and the promise and perils of the American Dream, all taking place during the 1920s in the U.S., the Jazz Age, that brief respite between the end of World War I and the start of the Great Depression.
Albany Civic Theater, 111 W. First Ave., will present “The Great Gatsby” at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Jan. 26 and 27, Feb. 2 and 3, and Feb. 9
