Building on the success of last year’s gift card program, Cool Aid is again offering its Everyone Deserves Joy program, which allows people to buy online gift cards for people in need. “The people who serve, especially those staying in a shelter, they just have so little,” said Lori Angelini, Cool Aid’s manager of philanthropy. “So getting these gift cards, knowing there there are people out there who do care about them, is very meaningful.” She said the gift cards are an important way to give people choice around what they buy for themselves. Cool Aid supports more than 200 people living in four emergency shelters: Sandy Merriman House, which supports women, Rock Bay Landing, Next Steps, and the Cool Aid Temporary Shelter. ....
