Peter Cole and John Armstrong are among several residents of Spriggs Close, off King Edward Street in Sleaford, whose homes are overlooked by a new scheme by North Kesteven District Council to build 12 houses and bungalows in a cul-de-sac linked by a new road skirting the northern edge of the Grantham Road public car park.
The site was formerly occupied by an agricultural chemical company warehouse and planning permission was granted in 2019. ....

Plans for 53 affordable homes in an empty field off Brant Road in Waddington have been formally submitted to North Kesteven District Council.
Lindum and Longhurst Group submitted the plans for the development that, if approved, would be built on a section of land between a floodplain and existing homes on Brant Road.
It would be a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes and the scheme will be similar to the Boolean Fields development on the corner of Brant Road and Station Road. ....

New prefabricated homes to plug social housing gap in Hunts

A new housing development on land which was once part of the Huntingdon campus of Cambridge Regional College will be used for social housing.
The 56 homes, which have just been given detailed approval by Huntingdonshire District Council, will be split between two thirds social rent and the rest for shared ownership and rent to buy.
They are being built by the Longhurst Group, an independent charitable registered provider of social housing, and will come in prefabricated form with much of the construction taking place off site.
Longhurst said in its planning application that modern construction techniques offset the poor reputation of post-war prefabricated homes, including the use of sustainably sourced timber, construction in a highly controlled environment where high quality workmanship can be achieved, together with rapid building. ....
